East Garafraxa, Ontario

This project transformed an East Garafraxa house with an elegant, timeless approach to landscape design.

The front yard experienced a full renovation, as Tumber installed a new post and beam front entrance gable, as well as a sunken front yard terrace.

To take advantage of the beautiful sunsets, we design and built a private outdoor space to relax that is hidden from the street. This is nestled into the hillside surrounded by gardens and plant material.

In the backyard, Tumber installed a large post and beam structure to provide a covered flagstone terrace. Next, we installed bi-fold doors from the house to the covered terrace to soften the transition from indoors to out. As a special touch, we built a large lounge terrace away from the house and a cozy fire pit, perfect for entertaining.

With privacy in mind, we adjusted grades and built berms along both sides of the property and planted evergreens throughout. The whole project resulted in a beautiful property to enjoy for years to come!
